Find Out How To Interpret GRE Scores
Thursday, February 17th, 2011A lot of students are uncertain what goes into a GRE test score. Typical questions include: “What is a good GRE test score?” and “What GRE scores do schools require?” To answer these questions, it is important to understand the various components belonging to the GRE Examination and how GRE exam scores are determined.
The GRE Verbal and Quantitative Reasoning portions are scored with a scale of 200 to 800, with 10 point increments. The GRE Analytical Writing section is graded over a 0 to 6 scale with half-point increments. Your scores on the Verbal and Quantitative sections are based on your performance on the questions you were given and on the entire number of questions cleared in the time allotted.
