A recent statistic shows that almost half of all marriages end in divorce. Divorce is difficult for everyone involved, but maybe the hardest on children. Experiencing many feelings that they do not understand is what often happens to them. They need their parents to understand because they would go through a range of emotions. I have a friend with two daughters. Every time I go over to his house, I’m stunned by the sheer quantity of stuff that towers over these little girls. Why are we so crazy when it comes to equipping our children with the tools they need to learn best? And how do we best prepare the next generations to guide the world in the best possible direction? The toys children use may not seem like an obvious connection, but I’ve come to notice that everything really and truly matters when it comes to how (and how well) children develop–and this includes the toys they play with. Luckily, I’ve discovered that Montessori toys provide answers to many of the confusions that have crept in with the way modern society approaches toys for children.
