Choosing A Used Nissan Altima Automobile
The Nissan Altima automobile was designed in the company’s California office starting in 1993. Originally called ‘Stanze Altima’, this name will only be seen on the manuals for earlier models and, on 1993 models, with a sticker on the trunk lid. A used model of this automobile is considered an excellent vehicle to own.
The purchaser has a choice between a manual or 4-speed automatic and, depending on the model, will find a larger, compact automobile that seats four comfortably. In competition it was proven one of the fastest among the 4-cylinder cars entered. Special additions were made over the years so may be different in certain models.
These are such things as a sunroof, high-powered CD stereo, speakers locations and other things, again this depends on when it was manufactured. With each new model there were additions made which included new ideas. These are things that can be looked for when making a purchase.
The 2009 model is available in sedan or coupe form, with a 4-cylinder engine and a 6-speed transmission. One model of interest that year was the Hybrid which is only sold in certain states. Although this car uses both a battery and a regular engine the motor re-charges itself with no plug-in charging required.
Listed on Consumer Guide Automobile as one of the best buys on the market based on size, market position and price, this is an excellent economical car to have. Formerly built at a plant in Smyrna, Tennessee it has now moved to Canton, Missouri. Different versions of this automobile have been built since 1993.
When looking for a good automobile, there is no doubt that a used Nissan Altima ranks high on the list. Over the years it has proved itself as a reliable both in cold or hot weather and in adverse road conditions. Whether in general use or in competition its unfailing performance cannot be beat.
